Mobility Equipment Troubleshooting Guide

Please use this guide if you experience any issues with our equipment rentals, especially if the equipment won't run. 

If the equipment isn’t operating, start by checking the battery. Ensure that the battery is properly connected to the equipment.

If the scooter is fully charged but will not run, consider these scooter troubleshooting tips:

• The key may not be in the scooter.

• The key might not be inserted correctly.

• Verify that the manual freewheeling switch (lever) is in the off position, as this should only be used to push the scooter manually.

• The circuit breaker may need to be reset.

If the battery meter dips very low when you press the throttle, this could indicate battery issues. Make sure to charge your battery fully before attempting to operate the scooter again.

If the scooter hesitates or runs slowly even when you press the throttle fully, there could be several reasons:

- Low battery charge.

- Operating slowly on an inclined surface.

- The scooter may be at maximum capacity, which can cause it to run slower than normal if the rider is close to the maximum weight limit.
